Low-Profile No-Tip Chick Feeder (Anti-Topple)
I couldn't find a feeder that truly met the needs of active baby chicks, so I designed my own.
This low-profile tray is my solution to the 'brooder chaos' – it stays upright and accessible even
when the little ones are frantically running around their nursery.
This is a low-profile Chick Trough Feeder specifically designed for baby chicks.
Measuring 120mm x 80mm x 20mm, it is perfect for use in brooders where space is limited and stability is key.
Key Features:
- Anti-Topple Design: The feeder is very flat and wide, making it virtually impossible for active chicks to tip over.
- Angled Sidewalls: The sides are sloped so chicks can even stand on the edge without flipping the tray.
- Easy Access: The central opening allows chicks to pick at grains comfortably while keeping the mess contained.
- Hygienic & Easy to Clean: Simple geometry with no hidden corners, making it easy to wash and sanitize.

- Material: PLA
- Settings: 2-3 walls and 15-20% infill for durability.

Tip-proof Chick Feeder (for chickens)
I searched for a feeder that was truly suitable for chicks for a long time, but found nothing fitting.
Therefore, I developed one myself. The flat shape fits perfectly with the typical hustle and bustle in the 'chick nursery'
and always stays securely on the ground.
This compact feeder was specially designed for freshly hatched chicks.
With dimensions of 120mm x 80mm x 20mm, it fits ideally into any brooder.
Special features:
- Extremely Tip-proof: Due to its flat design and wide base, the trough cannot tip over, even if the chicks jump wildly.
- Beveled Edges: The sides are shaped so that chicks can easily stand on the edge without the container losing its balance.
- Easy Feeding: The feed is filled into the central opening, where the little ones can comfortably peck.
- Easy Cleaning: The simple design can be quickly cleaned under running water.
Printing Notes:
- Material: I printed my troughs from PLA.
- Settings: 2-3 walls and approx. 15-20% infill ensure sufficient stability.
