Trogdor the Burninator: The Ultimate 3D Tribute

Description He was a man... I mean, he was a dragon man... or maybe he was just a dragon. But he was TROGDOR! Straight from the classic annals of HomestarRunner.com comes the most majestic, muscular, and wing-a-linged beast to ever grace a 3D printer. This model captures the terrifying glory of Trogdor in his full "Burninating" pose. Featuring a beefy human arm (for back-rubs and crushing peasants), majestic wings, and a gout of flame that would make a thatched-roof cottage tremble, this is the definitive version of the character created by Strong Bad.

The History of the Burninator

Born from a "Strong Bad Email" (sbemail #58) titled "dragon," Trogdor was the result of Strong Bad showing his fans how to draw a dragon. After a few failed attempts by Coach Z and Strong Mad, Strong Bad revealed his masterpiece.

The Homestar Runner universe, created by Mike and Matt Chapman (The Brothers Chaps), became an internet sensation in the early 2000s. Alongside characters like the clueless Homestar Runner, the bubbly Marzipan, the cheating The Cheat, and the luchador-masked Strong Bad, Trogdor became a breakout star, spawning his own heavy metal anthem and a popular board game. Now, he’s ready to hop off the screen and onto your desk!

Assembly & Printing Instructions This model is provided as a Bambu Studio .3mf with two options:

  1. The Full Version: For the brave souls with dialed-in supports and cooling.
  2. The Split Version (Recommended): I have pre-cut the model into two halves with alignment pins for a much higher success rate and easier support removal.

Recommended Materials & Gear To get those "S" curves and muscle definition looking crisp, I highly recommend using SUNLU PLA Plus. It has the structural integrity needed for the thin wings and the smooth finish that makes post-processing a breeze.

Assembly Note: Since this model is split for better printability, you will need to join the halves. I recommend ARKA KRAFTPROTZ UNIVERSAL Superglue for this. It creates a rock-solid bond that ensures Trogdor’s beefy arm stays attached even during the most intense burninating sessions!

Remix Ideas & Use Cases

  • Tabletop Gaming: Scale him down to use as a terrifying boss in your next fantasy campaign.
  • Night Light: Print the flame in a transparent PETG and hollow out the mouth for an LED insert.
  • Aquarium Ornament: Scale him up to guard your fish tank (just ensure your filament is food-safe!).
  • Keywords: Strong Bad, Homestar Runner, Retro Internet, Dragon Statue, 2000s Nostalgia, Cartoon, Burninate, Fantasy Mini.
