Description
TCOMAS LX800 Water Cooler Screen Modified USB Monitoring Screen Enclosure
Recently, a TCOMAS LX800 water cooler screen appeared on Taobao and Pinduoduo, which can be modified into a small monitoring screen with a Type-C interface
The control software is TCOMAS's official "TcomasSoftware", available for download from the official website
Total cost approximately 32 yuan, materials needed:
LX800 screen *1 (28 yuan)
4-pin female socket with 5.1k resistor and baffle (2.5 yuan)
PH2.0 ribbon cable 4-pin (0.5 yuan)
M2.5*6 countersunk self-tapping screws *4 (negligible cost)
M2*8 countersunk machine screws *2 and M2 nuts *2 (for fixing the Type-C female socket)
Hot melt glue (a little, for bonding the outer frame and middle layer)
Both the screen mainboard and the Type-C female socket have corresponding interface silkscreen prints; simply solder 5V/D-/D+/GND accordingly
Note that the double-sided adhesive on this screen is quite strong, please disassemble carefully (first pry open the four clips to remove the plastic parts before further disassembly)
(There is also a version for the square LG700 screen on the homepage)
