Description

A microphone mount that attaches to your keyboard using the two existing screws on the bottom — no clamp arm, no desktop base, no extra footprint on your desk. The mount extends from behind the keyboard and curves forward over the top, ending in a cold shoe that holds the microphone in mid-air above the keys.

Compatibility

  • Keyboard: Dell SK-8115
  • Microphone: Rode VideoMic Go II (or any cold-shoe-compatible microphone)

This mount is designed specifically for the Dell SK-8115 keyboard. It uses the two screws on the bottom of the keyboard as the only attachment points — replace them with longer M3 screws and the mount clamps firmly to the keyboard frame. The screw positions, bottom curvature, and rear profile are all modeled to match the SK-8115 exactly. It will NOT fit other keyboards out of the box.

I plan to design versions for more keyboards in future updates. If you want a version for your keyboard, please leave a comment with your keyboard model. I can't promise every model will make it into the next release, but the most-requested ones will get priority.

Hardware Required

  • 2 × M3 × 12 mm screws — these replace the two original screws on the bottom of the keyboard. The originals are too short to reach through the mount, so you must swap them for M3 × 12 mm. Keep the originals somewhere safe in case you ever want to revert the keyboard to stock.
  • 1 × cold-shoe-compatible microphone
