Custom Diameter Woven Ratan Planter

Start with a small desktop pot and scale up to a large floor planter! This modular 3MF file is designed for total customizability. It features a refined vertical-ribbed rattan texture and a stable 4-leg base, perfect for adding a natural, Mid-Century Modern touch to your home.

Modular Screw-In Assembly
To ensure ease of printing and maximum durability, the legs are designed as separate components that screw directly into the base of the planter.

• Screw Selection: Because the model is scalable, the required screw size will change based on your final print dimensions.
• Fitting Tip: Use your best judgment when selecting hardware. For the most secure fit, aim for a screw with a shaft diameter that closely matches the size of the printed pilot hole in your specific scale.

Functional Design & Scaling
This model acts as a decorative outer sleeve (cachepot). The realistic open-weave pattern is designed to house a standard plastic nursery pot or waterproof liner, as water and soil will pass through the decorative gaps.

The internal diameter (ID) is tied directly to your slicer’s scale percentage:

• 100% Scale: 100mm (~4") internal diameter.
• 150% Scale: 150mm (~6") internal diameter.
• 200% Scale: 200mm (~8") internal diameter.
• Custom: A 120mm pot = 120% scale.

Print Settings & Recommendations

• Supports: None required. The legs and weave are optimized for support-free printing.
• Wall Loops: 3 walls minimum recommended for structural integrity, especially for the screw-attachment points.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm – 0.24mm recommended to maintain the detail of the horizontal weave bindings.
• Materials: Dark wood-filled, matte brown, or charcoal PLA (as seen in the reference photo) provides a premium, high-end look.
