I. Core Design Philosophy
"Ride the waves without breaking boundaries, better to enjoy together than alone"
This work creatively transforms the iconic symbols of the Dragon Boat Festival—zongzi and dragon boats—through a magnetic modular design. It retains the competitive spirit and auspicious meaning of traditional festivals while incorporating the interactive logic of modern toys. Four zongzi elves, each with a distinct expression, represent different roles within a team, while the infinitely extendable dragon boat metaphorically conveys the collective power of "many people paddling to steer a big boat"
II. Character Design: Four Little Zongzi Elves
Design Ingenuity: The four zongzi share the same bamboo leaf textured base, but their head expressions and handheld items vary, conveying the elves' state while paddling the dragon boat.
III. Dragon Boat Core Innovation: Magnetic Infinite Extension System
1. Structural Logic
- Each dragon boat unit is approximately 5.2cm long, with an N-pole magnetic slot at the front and an S-pole magnetic slot at the rear, allowing for infinite extension through repeated installation.
- The dragon head features an S-pole magnetic slot, while the dragon tail is decorated with an N-pole magnetic slot.
- The zongzi elves can also be magnetically attached to their respective dragon boat units.
- Free Combination: Players can connect 2, 5, or even more sections according to the number of people or their preferences.
The magnets required for installation are 12MM in diameter and 3MM thick (4 magnets are needed at the connection between every two sections for stability). If you want a very long boat, prepare more magnets --- additionally (installing the zongzi elves requires 8 magnets, 6MM in diameter and 3MM thick. If you need to extend the dragon body, you'll need to buy more).
When installing, make sure not to reverse the direction of the dragon scales (install the dragon body following the dragon scales on the head, and ensure the magnetic polarity is consistent, don't install them backward).
I have printed the dragon whiskers many times, and they were all normal. If your dragon whiskers fail to print, it might be due to filament issues.
