1:400 scale DHC-6 (twin otter) model

The Twin Otter is finally here! This chunky little turboprop is built in the same Saltprint style as the rest of the fleet — simple, strong, and designed to actually print well at 1:400 without turning into spaghetti.

This model includes:

• Clean, stylised Twin Otter fuselage
• Chunky wings and tail for reliable printing
• Oversized landing gear for strength
• A full floats version included in the download for the classic bush‑plane look

🛠️ Printing Notes

The model is designed to be strong, but please be careful with the supports, especially around the tail and landing gear. Even though the parts are thickened for 1:400, removing supports too aggressively can still snap the smaller details.

It does print well on a 0.4 mm nozzle, but for the cleanest edges and the safest support removal, a 0.2 mm nozzle is recommended.

• Slow, gentle support removal
