Modern Geometric Voxel Wall Art – Pixel Art

Transform your living room, office, or bedroom into an art gallery with this modular 3D wall relief, create your own XXL pixel artwork – and incidentally improve your room acoustics!

Inspired by acoustic wood panels and minimalist voxel art, this design creates a fascinating play of light and shadow through its blocks and slants of varying heights. The preview image shows an example that was perfectly matched to the interior design (earth tones: olive, terracotta, beige, and brown).

Do you want to save filament and protect the environment? This model is optimized so that you don't need purge towers and there is no filament waste.

The trick: Color-pure printing Instead of printing all colors simultaneously (which generates waste with every layer change), you simply print each color separately.

No AMS is needed.

To reach Makers all over the world – no matter what language you speak – I have included a purely visual sketch.

The grid comes out of the printer exactly as a compact block! Since the distance between the cubes in the model is only 0.35 mm, they are still slightly connected by the tiny print seams. Don't panic! 

This is completely normal and even practical when removing it from the print plate. 

You can then easily separate the individual cubes from each other with your hands (with a slight crack).

🛠️ Assembly & Construction

1. Backing Plate: Get an MDF board or a canvas in the desired size. (Tip: Felt boards as a base reinforce the acoustic effect!).

    

2. Arrange: Lay out the blocks for a test until you like the pattern or your pixel motif.

    

3. Glue: Fix the solid bases to the plate with superglue or mounting tape.
