Description

So while installing me new steering wheel and lock mechanism for my 1969 camaro I came to a step that required me to press down a plate and install a retaining ring. This was to become a difficult task that would require a second hand and since I was alone I decide to design my own. the concept is simple to have this tool to press down on the plate and have my hands free to install the retaining ring on the columns ring grove. Once I got the sizes correct for my column it easily became a five minute project. You do need the columns nut to use for the pressure on the tool. I used ABS for the strength and durability. It is possible to use PETG, but PLA I think would be to brittle. Anyways this worked for my Chevy and you may need to adjust the sizing for you steering column, but best of luck and boost me if this was any help.
