Apple iOS / macOS Inspired Coaster Set - Third Party Icon Pack
Expand your existing Apple-inspired coaster collection with this third party icon pack, designed to match the style and proportions of the original set.
These coasters are fully compatible with the Mac M4 Mini coaster holder included into my original Apple iOS / macOS Inspired Icon Coaster Set on MakerWorld.
Each design is inspired by well-known third party app icons, recreated to fit naturally alongside the existing iOS and macOS themed coasters.
The first launch pack includes 8 individual coaster designs, all included within a single print profile, with each coaster placed on its own print plate for easier printing and organisation.

Before you start
AMS requirement
All coaster designs in this pack require an AMS or compatible multi-colour setup. Some designs use more than 4 colours, this is noted next to the design name on the specific plates within the print profile.
Clean your print bed and hot end
Clean your plate first, following your usual routine. Dish soap works best, clean and then rinse thoroughly, ensure the plate is dry and free of debris before putting back in the printer.
Leftover filament residue on your hot end can cause unwanted colour streaks, which will show very clearly against the white parts of the print. Please inspect your hot end before starting the print, if you spot any clumps or leftover filament, follow Bambu's recommended cleaning guide to remove.

Printing
Each coaster is supplied on its own plate within the included print profile.
For best results, use the supplied 3MF print profile rather than importing the STL files directly. The print profile already contains the correct colour assignments, layer height setup and print arrangement.
Where it improves the appearance of the icon, subtle shading has been built into the design using the existing colour palette. This helps add extra depth without increasing print complexity unnecessarily. Examples include the Reddit and Google Drive inspired designs, where the built-in shading helps better match the original icon styling.
Filaments
The filaments used for the prints are included within the Bill of Materials, viewable on the desktop MakerWorld site. I've used PLA for all of them.

Customisation
The coasters are designed to visually match the original Apple-inspired set as closely as possible, including overall sizing and layout compatibility with the Mac M4 Mini holder.
You can still experiment with your own filament colours if you would like to create alternative icon styles or themed sets maybe inspired by “Dark mode”.

Assembly
No assembly is required. Once printed, the coasters can be used immediately and fit directly into the existing Mac M4 Mini coaster holder from the original set.

Troubleshooting
Colours not aligned correctly
Please make sure you are printing directly from the supplied 3MF profile. Importing raw STL or STEP files manually may remove the intended colour assignments and print settings.
Visible colour contamination
Light coloured sections can show stray filament from previous prints very easily. If you notice unwanted streaking or marks, thoroughly clean the nozzle and hot end before starting the print again.
AMS colour limitations
Some coaster designs use more than 4 colours. To print these, you will either need a multi-AMS setup, or utilise the external spool as well as the AMS, this will be a bit “clunky” but the maximum depth for the details is 1mm, so hopefully not too much of a hardship.
