The Brush-Resting Moss Dwelling - Scholar's Miniature Garden Ornament / Multifunctional for Moss and Aquatic Plants / Brush Holder / Brush Washing Pond / Huizhou-style Architecture
With Huizhou gardens as its skeleton and daily writing supplies as its function, a single desktop can hold mountains, plants, and leisurely brushwork.
Design Concept
This piece underwent 3 weeks of conceptualization and multiple prototyping adjustments, capturing the white walls and dark tiles, and horse-head gables of Huizhou architecture, replicating the delicate wooden structures and window lattice details of traditional residences. The architectural model has undergone multiple rounds of refinement and adjustment, with clear and exquisite tenon-and-mortise-like textures. It can serve as the core landscape of the moss dwelling, and also supports separate printing to become an independent miniature scene ornament.
The base features a reserved moss planting area, complemented by scattered rocks, allowing you to DIY the landscape as you wish, creating a small Jiangnan garden with pine branches and moss on your desktop.
Multi-purpose in one piece, embodying a scholar's ingenious design.
Multifunctional ingenious design specifically for daily brushwork, making every stroke more effortless:
Four-point brush holder pine branches: The gnarled pine branch design inherently features 4 brush hanging positions. When the brush tip naturally hangs, it aligns perfectly with the brush washing trough below, allowing it to drain water and preventing deformation of the brush hairs, eliminating desktop clutter.
Dual-use waterside pavilion pond: The pond, reflecting the curved bridge and pavilion, serves as both a practical tool for washing brushes and a basin for keeping a small fish or planting water lilies, adding vibrant life to your desktop. The arched bridge section can be used as a handle to lift out the entire pond and landscape for water changes, making cleaning and maintenance effortless.
Independently usable Huizhou-style architecture:The main building replicates the horse-head walls and wooden structure details of Huizhou architecture. The model has been refined and optimized multiple times, allowing it to be printed separately as a miniature landscape or scene ornament for collection.
A small world for your desk:
It is not just a brush holder or a brush washing pond; it's a small world that can accompany you while writing, drawing, or daydreaming. When brushes and ink are put away and moss grows, the subtle charm of a Huizhou garden becomes part of everyday life.
🛠️ Modular Design, Stress-free Assembly
Smooth and Easy Installation: The entire set features a modular, split design, requiring no complex tools. By following the sequence of "install branches first → then embed rocks → finally assemble the building", you can easily piece together the complete moss dwelling.
Exquisite Detail Refinement: The connection points of all components have been repeatedly adjusted, ensuring smooth, snag-free assembly. Over ten days of conceptualization and refinement, with multiple prototype adjustments, were dedicated to presenting a finished product that combines both structure and texture, allowing you to immediately feel the delicate craftsmanship in the details, making it both aesthetically pleasing and durable.
Adaptable for Planting and Landscaping: The base features a reserved moss planting area, complemented by scattered rocks, allowing you to DIY the landscape as you wish, creating a small Jiangnan garden with pine branches and moss on your desktop.

Points to note during assembly:
1、A small amount of super glue is needed for assembling the Chinese-style architecture. It is recommended to pre-assemble the structure, then align it correctly before gluing and installing.
2、If there are any difficulties during assembly, you can lightly sand the edges with sandpaper to improve the assembly experience.
TIPS:
1、Ensure good bed adhesion. Thoroughly clean the build plate with dish soap or use a build plate with strong adhesion;
2、The current configuration uses PLA Basic and PLA Matte filament. If you need to switch to other types of filament (PLA Silk / PLA Marble / wood-like) or PETG for printing, remember to re-slice and adjust in Bambu Studio on your computer and ensure good bed adhesion
