Description

Mosaic Tile Puzzle Board

A colorful geometric tile puzzle and learning board designed for kids, classrooms, makerspaces, and tactile puzzle fans.

My spouse is a kindergarten teacher and has a similar mosaic tangram-style puzzle made of wood in the classroom that is slowly losing pieces — yet it is still one of the most popular activities during fun time every day. That inspired this project.

This version is sturdier than the flimsy wooden classroom boards, easier to reproduce, and the color options for the tiles are nearly endless with 3D printing. I also designed additional rounded-edge pieces and eye-style pieces that all fit neatly into the recessed grid system, allowing for more creative patterns and character designs.

The recessed board keeps pieces aligned neatly during play and storage, and the oversized tiles are easy to handle for younger users.

  • Homeschool activities
  • Preschool and kindergarten geometry
  • Color and shape recognition
  • Pattern replication games
  • Travel puzzle kits
