Description

This is an extremely tiny (3 GRAMS) sliding knife for X-acto No. 11 blades. It is arguably too tiny. If you want something more manageable, check out the original Knifey.

Designed to work with any filament, but some work better than others. Let me know which filament works best for you. If you find it too tight with PLA, try with PETG.

I am undecided on which way the blade should be oriented, so I made 2 options. I am still torn on which I like more.

Option 1 - “Cutline” - the blade edge is aligned with the handle.

Option 2 - “Slimline” - the back of the blade is aligned with the handle.

Printing tips:

  1. As always, make sure your bed is clean and sticky. I don't want to be seeing no bullshit reviews about fitment because the parts warped or the first layer is a mess.
  2. 0.16 layer height.
  3. Walls and infill to your heart's content. Works well with default minimums.
  4. PLA Tough+ is great.

Assembly:

  1. Put the blade on the cover, and then slide it on!

  2. Lubricate. It will be stiff/tight initally. It is designed with reasonably tight tolerances so it is not sloppy or loose. You must lubricate the sliding assembly, and work it back and fourth a handful of times before it will loosen up.
