Parametric Shadow Box Display Frame

Modern magnetic shadow box display frame designed for collectible cards, sealed promos, photos, tickets, memorabilia, art cards, and more.

This design uses a fully parametric Fusion 360 model, allowing the frame proportions, viewing window, depth, and overall dimensions to be customized for a wide range of collectibles and display items.

The deep recessed bevel and shadow box styling create a premium gallery-style presentation that gives small collectibles a clean, intentional display appearance.

Profiles are included for preset frames for the Scarlet & Violet Eevee promo pack and PSA and CGC slabs.

Parametric Customization

The included Fusion 360 source files are fully parametric and allow customization of:

• Item width
• Item height
• Item thickness
• Viewing window size
• Mat border width
• Magnet dimensions

After testing, I found the cleanest workflow is to provide each component as its own parametric Fusion file. When the full assembly is customized and then split into objects, some slicers may incorrectly handle the embedded magnet cavities.

For best results, open and adjust each component file individually using the same parameter values for each part, then export/print the components separately.

Note: If your viewing window is much smaller than the actual item cavity, you may need to increase the mat/margin values so the item is properly captured behind the front opening.

Optimized print profiles are included for common display formats, with additional profiles planned in future updates. presets for PSA and CGC slabs will be added soon!

Printing Notes

The model is provided as a multi-part assembly for improved print orientation and easier scaling.

If the assembly imports as a single object in Bambu Studio:

• Right click the model
• Select “Split to Objects”

This will separate the frame, backing plate, and optional kickstand into individual printable components.

Embedded magnets are installed during paused layers.

Recommended settings:

• Matte black PLA for the outer frame
• Smooth build plate for best visible finish
• 0.2 mm layer height

Assembly

1. Print all components
2. Pause print for magnet installation (Print profiles have pause programmed in)
3. Verify magnet polarity before continuing
4. Insert displayed item
5. Cover with mat piece
6. Attach magnetic front frame

Notes

• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure for valuable collectibles
• Use caution when handling magnets around children, pets, and electronics
• Use at your own discretion when displaying valuable or irreplaceable collectibles
