Quilling Cards – 3D Printed Mother’s Day Edition

Traditional quilling art has always fascinated me, the delicate spirals, layered curves, and soft floral compositions.
For this project, I wanted to recreate that handcrafted feeling using 3D printing while keeping the warmth and elegance of real paper quilling art.

This Mother’s Day card combines:

• layered floral structures
• quilling inspired geometry
• soft pastel colors
• modular printable elements

I tried to keep the composition light, calm, and decorative, almost like a small floral artwork rather than just a card.

Printing Notes

• Since the card covers a relatively large surface area, warping/lifting may occur depending on your printer and filament. Make sure your build plate is clean before printing.
• The pins can be quite delicate depending on your printer/settings. If one breaks during assembly, it can easily be fixed with a small drop of glue.
• Tweezers are recommended for placing some of the smaller decorative pieces more comfortably.
• For the best visual effect, I recommend using matte or pastel filaments with soft colors.
• If your first layer is too squished, some spiral details may lose definition slightly. A well-tuned first layer helps the quilling effect stand out much better.
• The stand can optionally be completed using Maker’s Supply NC005 foam for additional protection and prevent slippery
