Description

Since the official Wings for Life World Runs no longer offer physical medals on-site, I designed this commemorative medal. This way, after the run, you still have something in hand that you can display on a shelf or hang on the wall.

The design is optimized for multi-color printing (AMS), but can also be printed by changing filament at the corresponding layer height.

Highlights

• Fully customizable: The year (2026) and location (Zadar) are set up as text objects. You can easily change them in Bambu Studio with a right-click to recreate your personal run.
• Practical Design: With an integrated recess at the top edge for a standard medal ribbon.
• Clean Look: The back is flat for optimal adhesion and a clean print.

Print Settings (Recommendation)

• Printer: Optimized for Bambu Lab (works on any printer, of course).
• Material: PLA (White for the base, Blue and Red for the logo/text).
• Nozzle: 0.2mm.
• Layer height: 0.16mm.
• Infill: 15% Grid.
• Walls: 2-3 wall lines.
• AMS: 3 colors (White, Blue, Red).

Instructions: How to customize the location/year

1. Open the file in Bambu Studio.
2. Select the text object (e.g., "Zadar") in the object list.
3. Right-click -> Edit Text.
4. Enter your desired location and center the text.
5. Reslice and start printing!
