This sculptural interpretation of Edmond Dantès, better known as the Count of Monte Cristo, presents a noble, intense, and timeless vision of the iconic character created by Alexandre Dumas.

The bust highlights a calm yet deeply marked expression shaped by the hardships endured by the character. The facial volumes, flowing hair, and 19th-century inspired clothing were designed with strong and readable sculptural forms, creating a balance between classical aesthetics and FDM 3D printing compatibility.

In The Count of Monte Cristo, Edmond Dantès is a young sailor destined for a bright future before becoming the victim of a terrible betrayal. Wrongfully accused, he is imprisoned in the Château d’If for many years. After escaping and discovering a hidden treasure, he returns under the identity of the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo to carry out a carefully planned revenge against those who destroyed his life.

The character has become one of the great icons of French literature, symbolizing resilience, justice, and transformation. This bust aims to capture the duality between the man broken by fate and the enigmatic aristocrat he ultimately becomes throughout his story.
