Parametric Wire Shelf Attachment Base System

This is a fully parametric attachment base designed for standard wire shelving systems. This base provides a flexible foundation for creating custom hooks, holders, organizers, and other shelf accessories.

 

The model is designed to be easily customized in Autodesk Fusion using user parameters, allowing this to attach onto shelves with different sized wires and spacings.

 

This is model is intended to serve as a base for you to build various shelf accessories on with the includes .f3d file. 

 

It is recommended you print this in PETG for the added durability.

Parameters Guide:

Adjustable Parameters:

  • Bar_to_Bar
  • Clearance
  • Grip_Angle
  • Thickness
  • Width

Bar_to_Bar:

This is the distance between the two ends of the bar

This is the only physical measurment you will need

 

Clearance:

The space between the bar and the curve of the model. I found 0.2mm to be a good amount.

 

Grip_Angle:

The amount the hook curves around the bottom bar.

 

Thickness:

How thick the model is. Making it too thick might make the model too rigid to flex around the bar.

 

 Width:

How wide you want the model to be.
