Description
đ¤ Benchy X2D Dual Nozzle Torture Test â Two-Color & Optimized
Have you just got the new Bambu Lab X2D and want to truly see what the dual nozzle system is capable of?
This is not your usual Benchy. It's a modified and optimized version to test color changes, nozzle synchronization, surface quality, and the real speeds of your printer.
đĽ Why print this Benchy?
â
Real Stress Test for Dual Nozzle
Designed to maximize the X2D's dual nozzle system with continuous material/color changes.
â
Two-Color without Compromise
Clean lines, clear color separation, and details that immediately show how precise your calibration is.
â
Also optimized for purging
In addition to the classic purge tower, an additional cube has been added to further improve Bowden nozzle purging during color/material changes, helping to reduce contamination and imperfections in transitions.
â
Official Bambu Lab Profile
To obtain reliable and comparable results, the original Bambu Lab Benchy PLA Basic profile was used, available here:

â
Recommended Slice Settings for Dual Nozzle
To achieve correct two-color operation on the X2D, it is important to use:
- Custom mode
- Filament 1 assigned to the Main Extruder
- Filament 2 assigned to the Auxiliary Extruder
- Filament grouping correctly set as shown in the project images
These settings truly help leverage the X2D's dual nozzle system, reducing waste, contamination, and color transition issues.
â
Perfect for tuning and showcasing
Ideal for:
- checking nozzle alignment
- checking bleeding and oozing
- testing purge and color transitions
- comparing print profiles
- showcasing your new X2D
â
Optimized for high speeds
Bridges, curves, fine details, and shiny surfaces: all designed to truly stress the machine without being just a decorative print.
