Description
Boost Me (for free)
I hope you enjoyed this project and thank you for your support by boosting me. It helps me to create more kayak projects and other 3D-printed projects.
(UPDATE: Fixed side logo spelling and the lid logo)
This is my 3D-printed fishing kayak crate.
All the 3D-printed parts for this project, which are included in this post. However, I'll update the BOM for all screws needed to assemble it later on.
This kayak crate features a main crate measuring 16in x 13in,a storage tray, a lid, fishing rod holders with hooks, tie-in anchor points, hinges, and latches.
It's designed to be printed on any Bambu Lab printer (excluding the A1 mini).
To assemble all these 3D-printed parts together, using glue such as super glue or acrylic cement (Weld-On 16) is highly recommended.
If Weld-On 16 is not available in your area, you can use any acrylic cement brand you can get your hands on.
Most of the screws I used are (M4) and some M5. (I'll update the quantity and length of the screws needed later on).
Recommended filaments (it's what I usually use):
ABS or ASA are highly recommended.
PETG is recommended, but keep in mind it's denser than ABS/ASA, which will make the crate heavier.
Nylon, PC, PSS, and any carbon fiber/fiberglass filaments should work but have not been tested.
TPU is needed for the FEET. Any STL labeled "TPU" and the part name needs to be printed in TPU 90A.
PLA/PLA+ is not recommended for outdoor use.
If you have any questions, recommendations, or add-ons, please let me know.
