Description

NOTE: The photo is of the original junkyard part NOT the printed model. I have not personally printed this model as it's too large for my bed.

Hey! I was given some mud flaps for my SA Rx-7 a while ago and still haven't installed them yet. They were pulled from a junkyard car and aren't in the best condition. I figured since I have them I might as well reproduce them for everyone else's enjoyment. I haven't yet printed these and I may never so YMMV the model is also bigger than my bed I think an H2D should work otherwise you are looking into cutting and gluing. I have used JB Weld Plastic Bonder in the past to success so I'd imagine further success would be found here. Anyway, if anyone gets around to printing these please send a picture!

The logo on the original flaps had the logo painted in a silver paint. So I'd probably recommend painting the logo either with filament or paint (if TPU is paintable).

Oh and another caveat, I only have the top fastner hole in the design.. The other two holes on the junkyard flaps didn't line up with the holes on the body of the car or each other. I wasn't sure if those holes move between the years or if these flaps were aftermarket or from a different Mazda or what!  If I ever compare my SA holes with an FB and the location is the same I'll add the holes later on. Additionally drilling holes in TPU isn't the worst thing ever, you might also just get away with 3M Moulding Tape.

Anyway, thanks for the interest, happy printing!
