Description
Boost Me (for free)
I would really appreciate a boost for my work, as a lot of time and thought goes into its development. This also helps me to continue creating good things for you.
Hello everyone, those who use the MacBook Neo in the evening quickly notice that it doesn't have backlit keys.
Here you see my self-designed, very elegant first version of the MacBook Neo Lightbar, which is super portable and angle-adjustable.
It is very simply designed, looks super elegant, and can be directly attached to the MacBook screen without obstructing the view of the Facetime camera.
Since I use an 11-in-1 USB adapter for my MacBook, connection to this adapter via USB A is possible. Alternatively, you can use a power bank or an external power source. The reason is that USB C will only come in the 2nd version, also dimmable, but I am still working on that until August 2026.
You will need:
- Black PLA or the color you desire
- USB A power cable 50cm or more as desired (USB C is unfortunately not possible as it requires digital feedback to supply power)
- The COB LED Strip KA007 on Makerworld
- a soldering iron and some solder
- PLA or plastic glue
Assembly is self-explanatory, but you should know that I glued the LED strip in place with plastic glue.
Have fun printing. If you need any data or information, feel free to contact me, and I look forward to seeing pictures of your prints!
