Description
Designed for Canon TM-240 plotters without the original stand or output basket.
This printable paper catcher helps prevent large format drawings and plotter sheets from falling directly onto the floor during printing.
The system is intended for compact studio setups where the printer is placed on a desk or cabinet instead of the official Canon stand.
Features:
- Simple and fast to print
- Modular assembly
- Helps keep drawings clean and aligned
- Designed for architectural / technical plot outputs
- Optimized for lightweight rigidity and low material usage
- Folding hook geometry allows the paper catcher arms to be folded away when the printer is not in use, reducing obstruction in office environments
Tested with:
- Canon TM-240
Printing recommendations:
- PLA is enough
- 0.20 mm layer height
- Thin supports starting from the build plate are recommended
- Tested only with 3 walls/perimeters so far
Additional notes:
- For larger A0 plotters, I believe using 3 sets of parts may provide better support across the full paper width, although this configuration has not yet been tested
- In this setup the pieces are screwed to the desk for stability, since it is installed on a working table
- On thinner or lighter furniture, alternative mounting solutions such as strong 3M adhesive tape or similar systems may also work depending on the surface and load conditions
- Depending on your setup, dimensions may be adjusted slightly to fit different furniture depths or paper roll configurations
Useful for architects, engineers, graphic studios and workshop environments.
