Irish Setter Bust

This Irish Setter bust celebrates the breed’s unmistakable refinement and fluid beauty in sculptural form. Captured in a poised three-quarter profile, the piece conveys gentleness, alertness, and natural elegance—hallmarks of this distinguished sporting breed.

The head is finely proportioned, with a long, clean muzzle and softly defined brow that create the Setter’s characteristic noble expression. The sculpted eye is calm yet attentive, giving the piece quiet presence and warmth. Long, pendant ears fall gracefully along the sides of the head, their layered texture carefully modelled to suggest the silky feathering that defines the breed.

Particular attention has been given to the flowing coat along the neck and chest. The sculpt transitions from smooth facial planes to dynamic, cascading fur textures, creating movement and depth while maintaining anatomical clarity. The elongated lines reinforce the Irish Setter’s athletic, streamlined silhouette.

The bronze-effect finish enhances the sculptural modelling. Darkened patina settles within the recesses of the feathered coat and beneath the ear folds, emphasizing dimensional separation. Raised contours along the muzzle ridge, cheek planes, and chest fur catch subtle metallic highlights, producing contrast and visual richness. The result is a balanced interplay of light and shadow that accentuates the breed’s graceful form.

Mounted on a stepped cylindrical plinth, the bust achieves classical symmetry and display stability. The substantial base anchors the flowing upper composition, providing visual weight beneath the elongated neck and ears.

This Irish Setter bust embodies elegance, intelligence, and spirited charm—a refined tribute to a breed admired for both its beauty and its energetic, affectionate nature.
