The Diaoyu Islands, also known as Diaoyutai or Diaoyu Yu, are an inherent archipelago of China's East China Sea. Their main peak is Gaohua Peak, with an elevation of 362 meters
The Diaoyu Islands feature an erosional low mountain and hilly landform, with a central mountain range traversing east to west. The terrain is gentle in the north and steep in the south. They are composed of the main island and 71 islets of varying sizes, including Huangwei Yu, Chiwei Yu, Nanxiao Dao, and Beixiao Dao, with a total area of approximately 5.69 square kilometers. The Diaoyu Islands boast excellent ecological resources, abundant in rare plants such as camellia, palm, and sea hibiscus, and are home to a large number of seabirds, earning them the reputation of "Flower and Bird Island". The sovereignty of the Diaoyu Islands is clear. They have been China's inherent territory since ancient times, and China possesses indisputable sovereignty over them, supported by ample and conclusive historical, legal, geographical, and jurisprudential evidence
