Description

This is a case that holds a single spare cartridge for Taser Pulse 2 and Bolt 2, designed to be printed using ESD filaments.

If you carry a Taser Pulse 2 or Bolt 2 and want to carry a spare cartridge, there isn't much of an option to safely carry one without having to worry about static electricity. I designed this to be used with ABS-ESD and PETG-ESD for maximum protection from static discharge, to prevent the cartridge from firing when stored inside a pocket or a bag.

To achieve static discharge protection, you must use filament rated for ESD. Sure, you can print this model using other material, but if you decide to do that and the cartridge discharges in your pocket or bag, you only have yourself to blame.

The model consists of two parts--the main case that holds the cartridge and the lid that snaps to the main case. Inside the main case are the two lips that work with the cartridge's own so it won't fall out. The main case has smooth surface, while the lid has shallow X-shaped corrugation which gives it additional strength. This allows the user to have tactile feel of which part they're holding. On the bottom of both the main case and the lid are protrusions that allow both to be easily grabbed using your fingers. The main case and lid snap shut together, secure enough that it won't come loose from vibrations but easily enough you can pop the lid off using two fingers.

All that means you can perform a goofy tactical reload on your Taser Pulse 2, as seen below:

Removing some of the little foam padding around the cartridge will make it easier to remove and load the cartridges. Don't remove all of them, because if you do the cartridge will easily pop out of place if you happen to drop the Pulse 2.

I used XYPOLYER ABS-ESD and Inland PETG-ESD with success. However, making them work with 0.4mm hardened nozzle was a challenge, to say the least, with constant clogs. I did manage a few successes using the 0.4mm hardened nozzle, but I highly recommend that you use 0.6mm hardened nozzle, which was able to print this without any issue.
