Description
Customizable Parametric Lamp Shade
You can use the model to create different lampshades. There is a wide range of curved, smooth, and patterned lampshades at your disposal. Just enter the parameters and download the finished lampshade.
Printing tips: When printing, use 100% fill.
1. Base Dimensions
- shade_height: The total vertical height of the lamp shade.
- bottom_diameter: The diameter of the lamp shade at its very bottom.
- top_diameter: The diameter of the lamp shade at its very top.
- wall_thickness: The thickness of the shade's shell (the distance between the outer and inner surfaces).
2. Shape Style
- shape_type: Determines the profile of the shade.
- straight: Creates a classic conical/linear slope.
- curved: Adds a bulge or indent to the sides.
- curvature: Controls how much the side profile bows out or in.
- Positive values create a "belly" (bulge).
- Negative values create a "waist" (inward curve).
3. Pattern Settings
- pattern_enabled: A true/false switch to turn the decorative cutouts on or off.
- pattern_type: The geometric shape of the cutouts (circle, hexagon, square, or slot).
- pattern_rows: How many horizontal "rings" of patterns are stacked vertically.
- pattern_count_per_ring: How many individual cutout shapes are placed around the circumference of each ring.
- pattern_size: The overall scale/size of each individual cutout.
- pattern_rotation: Rotates the individual cutout shapes themselves (e.g., turning a square into a diamond).
4. Bottom Mounting Plate
- bottom_plate_thickness: The height/thickness of the solid floor at the base of the shade.
- mounting_hole_diameter: The size of the hole in the center of the bottom plate where the lamp socket or bulb fixture passes through.
5. Rendering Quality & Technical
- quality: Controls the smoothness of the curves. Higher values make the circles look rounder but increase the time it takes to render the 3D model.
- slices: The number of vertical segments used to calculate the curvature. More slices result in a smoother vertical profile.
