Description
No more poorly drilled holes in the wall! Hanging a picture frame, a shelf, or a TV mount and getting the exact hole spacing on the wall can be frustrating. This simple yet highly effective tool will save you time, nerves, and unnecessary wall patching.
What is it for? This tool is designed to accurately measure the distance (pitch) between two mounting holes on an object and seamlessly transfer that exact measurement to a wall for drilling.
How to use it:
- Insert the marking tips into the holes at the ends of the arms.
- Loosen the central knob and place the tool against your object (e.g., the back of a picture frame).
- Align the tips exactly with the mounting holes of the object and tighten the star knob to lock the arms in place.
- Draw a level line on your wall using a spirit level.
- Place the locked tool against the line and press gently – the tips will make precise marks indicating exactly where you need to drill.
Printing & Assembly:
- Material: PLA or PETG (PETG is recommended for the flexibility of the snap-in tips and the durability of the thread).
- Supports: No supports needed (print in place/flat).
- Infill: 15-20%. I recommend using 3-4 walls (perimeters) for added strength on the threaded part.
- Assembly is straightforward: slide the slotted arm over the threaded post, screw on the knob, and snap in the marking tips.
