Description
Plant support clip for young plants, designed to attach to a bamboo / wooden skewer. Known as “Schaschlik-Spiess” in Germany :-)
There are already many plant clips available here, but I was looking for one that met my specific needs.
I use simple wooden skewers with a diameter of 3 mm, which work perfectly for supporting my tomato and chili plants. For me, the clip needed to be easy to attach to the plant, large enough not to restrict its growth, and easy to remove later.
To avoid damaging the plant, the clip also needs to hold securely onto the skewer and not slide down on its own.
That is why I created this model.
- The clip is designed to fit a 3 mm wooden skewer, although slightly smaller or larger skewers may also work.
- It can still be moved manually, but it does not wobble or slip by itself. It holds in place.
- The plant-side opening has a diameter of 19 mm, giving the plant enough room while still protecting it from falling over.
- The clip is 1 mm thick, making it easy to open when your plant has grown large enough.
I recomment to use PETG but i think PLA should work too. Have fun!
