Hello Maker Community and Sandcastle Architects!

--UPDATE-- Enhance Your Sand Play Fun with the New Dripmaster Filter Attachment!

After an extensive testing phase during my beach vacation, I have added a great new feature. At our beach, there were always small shell fragments or pebbles in the sand that quickly clogged the funnel after a short period of fun. So I quickly added a second sieve that is placed on top when filling the funnel. The holes are much larger than those in the water sieve but small enough to prevent anything from clogging it

What makes this funnel special?

We all know the scenario: Children want to build a fantastic sandcastle, but the sand is either too dry and collapses or too wet and sticks together. Conventional funnels are often difficult to hold, or the sieve falls off when pouring water, destroying everything

This is where the DripMaster comes in

1. Two Sturdy Handles for Small Hands

Most sand funnels have only one handle or none at all. This often makes it wobbly for small children's hands. My model features two large, ergonomically designed handles. This allows children to securely grip the funnel with both hands, making the "dripping" (letting the sand-water mixture drip) much easier

2. The Lockable Sieve (Bayonet Catch)

This is the absolute highlight! The green sieve is not just placed on top, but is securely locked to the orange main funnel with a bayonet catch

  • The Advantage: No more accidental dropping of the sieve! When your child pours water into the sieve, it stays securely in place. You don't have to worry about the sieve falling onto the painstakingly built sand artwork and destroying everything

Sandcastle Building Made Easy!

Here's how easy it is:

  1. Fill the main funnel (orange) with sand
  2. Attach the sieve (green) with a bayonet catch
  3. Pour water into the top of the sieve
  4. The water distributes evenly through the fine holes in the sieve and moistens the sand in the funnel
  5. A perfect, uniform sand-water mixture drips out of the bottom of the funnel, which can be used to build fantastic sandcastles and sculptures

To all Dads (and tech-savvy Moms):

This model is not only a great gift for children but also awakens the playful instinct in grown-ups. The bayonet catch is a simple solution to a real problem. Print the funnel for your children, but be aware of its addictive potential! It's the perfect joint project to get creative together at the beach

Printing Instructions (Practical Tips)

  • Material: PLA works well for short-term use at the beach, but for longer durability and UV resistance, I recommend ASA or PETG
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm or 0.24mm for a good surface texture
  • Infill: 7% Gyroid

Whether you spend some wonderful hours with your children or become an artist yourself, I would be incredibly happy to see a photo of your artworks, and a boost, of course, too :-)

"Slopmaster" would be a better fit. With your attitude, none of your models will ever be successful, even though it's obviously your greatest wish to have success with your models, otherwise you wouldn't be inflating them so much

I would greatly appreciate it if you would remain polite. It's a shame you don't like my picture. It's a real photo of the Dripmaster and has only been slightly beautified

here is a picture. The "3D Printer" will only be used in August when we are at the beach with our grandson

Then I wish you a lot of fun, and from experience I can tell you to find a spot near the water. I had to drag countless buckets to the third row of sun loungers :-)
