Description

#ILoveNice - I Love Nice Sign Replica

After searching for a faithful 3D model of the famous “I Love Nice” sculpture, I couldn’t find any convincing model the way I wanted.

So I decided to design my own replica from scratch using real reference photos taken directly on location in Nice. My goal was to create a version that stays as close as possible to the real sculpture while still being optimized for reliable and clean 3D printing.

The model keeps the recognizable silhouette and proportions of the original sign, making it a great decorative piece for a desk, shelf, workshop, or display setup. It also works perfectly as a souvenir-style print for anyone who loves Nice.

Print Profiles

I included two print profiles:

  • Face-down profile
  • Face-up profile

The face-down orientation provides a cleaner and smoother front surface thanks to the build plate contact, making it ideal if you want the visible side to look as uniform as possible.

The face-up orientation preserves more surface details and avoids any build plate texture on the front face, which may produce better results depending on your printer calibration and filament settings.

Both orientations were tested so users can choose the result that best fits their printer and preferred finish.
