Description

A simple clip to secure the extendable leg and extendable table of the IKEA Pinntorp table.

Without securing the leg and extension, they bang slightly against the table even at the slightest wobble. Adding the clip secures both the extendable leg and the table part at the same time.

Installation: The large part simply slides onto the main table frame and extendable leg at the opposite side from the hinges (e.g. on the side where the leg starts to swing out) and the small clip can be attached to the bottom side of the extendable table. I used a Tesa PowerStrip for easy removal if needed. To extend the table, simply remove the large part of the clip and open the table as it's designed. The small part stays attached to the bottom of the tabletop.

Note: I also have a small 5mm felt floor-protector between the IKEA-provided bumper and the table leg because that was my original attempt at stopping the banging. When that didn't work, I created the clip. If you don't have the felt bumper, you may need to adjust the size of the clip slightly, but not the parts that straddle the legs.

Printed with 50% infill for strength (in case you forget it's there and start to pull the extension upward).
