Description
Recently, I've been needing a lot of sponge sandpaper for sanding products. I saw many tutorials online for making DIY sponge sandpaper, so I'd like to share my own method.
The cutting board can be used to make sponge sandpaper or adhesive-backed sandpaper that is 20mm wide and less than 100mm long.
- After cutting, directly attach it to EVA foam with single-sided adhesive. You can buy 20mm wide 3M foam directly, which then becomes sponge sandpaper.
- After cutting, fix it to a sanding board with double-sided tape to make adhesive-backed sandpaper.
Two specifications have been designed: 1mm spacing and 0.6mm spacing, which can be cut with utility knives of different sizes.
Using this template greatly facilitates the DIY production of sponge sandpaper. Based on the material costs I purchased, each piece of sponge sandpaper costs approximately 0.3 yuan. It also allows for the creation of grits not available on the market.
