Description
Bring your RC crawler scenes to life!
Enhance the realism of your 1:10 scale RC crawler builds with this highly detailed, "multi-part" firewood log kit. Designed for ultimate "scale look" customization, this set is perfect for creating believable wilderness, logging, and camp-site dioramas, or as a realistic cargo load. Whether you’re setting up a cozy log cabin scene, a busy lumberjack operation, or just hauling a load, these logs are the detailed touch you’ve been looking for.
This model is a perfect companion to DVScaleDesign’s Dump Trailers (Bumper Pull and Gooseneck models), as seen in the photos, where a load of these logs looks incredibly authentic.
Key Features:
- Highly Realistic Texture: Features a detailed, authentic texture based on Maple Tree (Acer) bark, for a stunningly realistic look.
- Versatile Log Shapes: The set includes a full assortment of log types for a natural look: Full round logs, half logs, quarter logs, and even eighth logs.
- Easy, No-AMS Multi-Color Printing: This is the best part! No AMS or multi-material system is required. The design uses a unique snap-together assembly system. Print the "inner wood" in one color and the "bark" in another, and they simply click together for a perfect finish.
- Perfect 1:10 Scale: Sized precisely for 1:10 scale RC crawlers and dioramas.
- Optimized for Bulk Printing: Included print plate files are optimized to print 9 full logs at a time, making it efficient to create a large stockpile or a full trailer load.
- High-Durability Design (PETG-HF): While they look detailed, they are designed to be durable. Printing in PETG-HF is highly recommended for enhanced exterior durability and to withstand the rigors of scale trail riding.
Print Settings & Tips:
- Material: PETG-HF is strongly recommended for exterior durability. A high-quality PLA can also work for indoor displays, but will be more brittle.
- Printing Profile: You might want to remove Brims in case on enclosed printing environment.
- Assembly: After printing, simply press-fit the textured bark piece onto the smooth inner wood piece until it "clicks" into place. A drop of superglue can be used for a more permanent bond, though the snap-fit is generally very secure.
