Description

Project Description This high-detail 3D model is a satirical fusion of two legendary British cultural icons. It brings together the deadpan physical comedy of the "Ministry of Silly Walks" sketch (featuring the classic bowler-hatted commuter) and the silhouette of modern London public art.

The statue depicts a "City Gentleman" in a suit and bowler hat, attempting a complex "silly walk" extension while holding a large flag that obscures his face. Like a satire on bureaucratic blindness, he is captured at the precise moment he steps off his ceremonial pedestal into the void.

It's the perfect mixture of contemporary and classic, reivindicative and comical, elegant and silly… definitively, it's kistch. and absolutely british too.

UPDATE: Added an stl and 3mf profile with a cuppa added to the plinth :) (it can't be more british than that!)

Technical Specifications (Optimized for Bambu Studio) This model has been meticulously sculpted to balance thin elements (like the flag pole) with stable printing.

  • Layer Height: 0.12mm (Crucial to capture the fabric pinstripes and face texture).
  • Supports: Tree supports are necessary although I adjusted the piece on the bed so it has the smallest amount. Despite that, be careful with the flagpole, as it's the weakest part.
  • Infill: 10-15% Gyroid.
  • Z-Offset Calibration: Tested and optimized at -0.03mm to ensure the minimal base of the falling foot adheres perfectly before the main body prints.

Don't trust my pictures, and try for yourself. I never sand mines after printing, and usually just use acrylic paints without priming it first, and print using probably a thicker layer than what I should because… I'm impatient LOL anyway, they look better in real life than in my pictures!

Hey, I love you too. The design was made with Photoshop, based on different views of the banksy statue and pictures of people in suits, plus boiler hats, adjusting angles, sizes, and painting over a college of them. And after that, yeah, used an AI to help me bring it to 3d. And then Microsoft builder to fix mistakes on the 3d model, which there were a few of them... But nobody's asking you to print it. You don't like it, move on. Have a nice day!
