Description

Turn a simple pen cap into a giant desk object.

This XXL BIC-style cap is instantly recognizable, slightly absurd, and surprisingly fun to print. Place it on your desk, gift it to a stationery lover, or use it as a playful office prop.

It is simple, bold, and funny — exactly the kind of print that makes people stop and ask:

“Wait… is that a giant pen cap?”

This is a giant BIC-style pen cap for 3D printing, designed as a fun oversized version of the classic pen cap shape.

It works great as a desk decoration, office conversation piece, funny gift, photography prop, or playful display object. The design is based on simple, clean shapes, making it a good large-format print for Bambu Lab printers.

The model looks especially good in matte black PLA, but it can also be printed in blue, red, grey, transparent, or any bright color for a more playful look.

Recommended print settings

  • Printer used: Bambu Lab P1S
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Filament: PLA / Matte PLA recommended
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Supports: Yes
  • Support type: Tree / Auto
  • Support threshold angle: 30°
  • Brim: Recommended
  • Brim width: 5 mm
  • Ironing: Enabled on top surfaces
  • Infill: Low to medium is enough
  • Orientation: As shown on the build plate

Printing tips

Use tree supports and a brim to keep the taller parts stable during printing.
Matte filament gives the model a cleaner finished look and helps hide layer lines.
