This model is designed to accurately represent the IS-3 heavy tank that was deployed by the Soviet Army in 1945. In reality, this type of tank was equipped with a 122mm D-25T tank gun and a DSK machine gun as its weapons, and its wedge-shaped armor left a deep impression. In this model, the main weapon has been replaced with the planned BL-9 tank gun.

Assembly Notes (Assembly precautions:)
l The DSK machine gun part of this model is designed to achieve the greatest possible authenticity, so the structure is rather complex. When finishing the printing and removing the support structure, there is a risk of damaging the model itself. Therefore, it is recommended to prepare more DSK machine gun components as backups during the printing process.

l After actual printing and assembly testing, the number of sections for each side of the tracks is approximately 82, which is two more than the four sections of tracks in the model file (each section of the track has 20 sections).

l Due to the large volume of the vehicle body part of this model, using open-source 3D printers such as A1 Mini may cause edge warping, which could affect assembly. It is recommended that you use such printers at a more suitable temperature.

l In addition, this model supports the movable functions of the walking mechanism, the gun elevation mechanism, and the turret rotation mechanism. When assembling these components, no glue is required. However, due to the nature of the printing material, in the gun elevation mechanism, there may be a situation where the gun droops due to loose parts. If this occurs, you can use paper towels to fill the gaps between the main gun and the turret connection piece, making the entire elevation mechanism fit together more tightly.

l The crawler structure of this model can be directly printed. It only requires simple disassembly and reassembly to the appropriate length. The design has been optimized for both PLA and PETG materials, and both can be printed with these materials. The design of the crawler structure is based on the idea of @Bavaria_3DTanks. I would like to express my sincere gratitude!

The overall printing uses the official 0.16mm high quality parameters of Bambu, and the default tree-like support is enabled. Separate skirts are added to the main body of the tank and the main body of the turret to prevent warping. The wheel part does not require additional support for printing. The generator for the wall is modified to Arachne, mainly for printing the details of the wheel part. The number of contact layers on the top surface of the support is modified to 5 to facilitate disassembly of the support.
