Old English Sheepdog Bust

This Old English Sheepdog bust captures the unmistakable silhouette and abundant texture that define this iconic herding breed. Sculpted in a composed side profile, the piece communicates substance, warmth, and quiet strength—hallmarks of the Old English Sheepdog’s enduring appeal.

The head structure is broad and substantial, with a well-developed muzzle and balanced cranial proportions. The eyes are partially framed by sculpted forelock detail, reflecting the breed’s characteristic facial coverage while preserving clarity of form. The expression conveys calm intelligence beneath the profuse coat, with subtle shaping around the brow and cheek structure providing anatomical integrity beneath the layered texture.

The defining feature of this sculpt is its treatment of coat mass. The long, shaggy fur is rendered in overlapping, directional strands that fall naturally from crown to muzzle and down into the neck and chest. Rather than uniform repetition, the fur pattern varies in depth and orientation, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.
