Fit. Lock. Bring Pikachu’s tail to life. ⚡

Step into a world where cosplay engineering meets character-accurate wearable design.

This 3D-printed parametric ring is not a generic connector—it is a tail-shaped retention mount designed specifically for Pikachu-style tails, engineered so the tail root physically slots into the ring geometry, locking into place before being permanently fixed with adhesive. The result is a clean, stable integration where the tail is mechanically guided by the ring itself, preventing rotation or shifting once glued.

Inspired by the idea of purpose-built wearable fabrication, this model turns a simple cosplay accessory into a structural interface between character design and real-world wearability. Each version is precisely tuned across a full size range from 14.0 mm to 24.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments, ensuring accurate finger fit while maintaining alignment with the tail insertion geometry.

✨ Features

Tail-Shaped Locking Interface
The ring includes a sculpted insertion channel that matches the base of a Pikachu-style tail. The tail slides into position and is mechanically constrained by the form itself before gluing.

Anti-Rotation Geometry
The internal shape prevents twisting or movement of the tail once installed, ensuring a stable, aligned display during wear.

Parametric Fit System
Complete size set from 14.0 mm to 24.0 mm in 0.5 mm steps for precise finger fitting.

Cosplay-Integrated Design
The ring is not an add-on mount—it is part of the tail’s structural base, making the tail appear naturally anchored to the hand.

🛠 Printing Instructions

  • Layer Height:0.12 mm for higher detail finish
  • Material: PLA for crisp detail or PETG for durability
  • Infill: 15% is enough to have durability, without increase it weight
  • Walls: 2 perimeters recommended
  • Orientation: Flat base on build plate
  • Supports: Not required
  • 2 Plates, one for the ring and the second for the tail to minimize purge waste

🔧 Assembly

  1. Select the ring size that fits your finger comfortably
  2. Insert the tail base into the integrated tail-shaped channel
  3. Ensure full seating so the geometry locks alignment
  4. Apply super glue or epoxy into the contact zone
  5. Hold until fully cured for a permanent structural bond

🌐 Design Philosophy

This design treats cosplay not as decoration, but as mechanically intentional character construction. The tail is not simply attached—it is guided, seated, and locked into the ring as if it were engineered into the wearable from the start. It merges form-fitting anatomy with fabrication logic, where imagination becomes a physical constraint system.
