Description

.408/.375 CheyTac Long-Range Ammunition Display Set

This is a detailed, 1:1 scale replica set featuring the legendary .408 CheyTac and .375 CheyTac long-range precision ammunition. Renowned for holding world-record-breaking distance capabilities, these cartridges are an essential display piece for long-range shooting enthusiasts, precision engineering fans, and owners of the M200 Intervention platform. The set includes a custom-engraved display stand featuring the profile of the M200 rifle and labels for each specific projectile variant.

Ammunition Variants Included

The display showcases the evolution of extreme long-range ballistics, from match-grade target bullets to specialized tactical rounds. Here is a breakdown of the types included, from left to right:

  • .375 Ball: A standard solid projectile utilized for baseline range qualification and general training where specialized ballistic performance isn't required.
  • .375 A-Tip: Featuring the advanced Hornady A-Tip design, this projectile is engineered with a precision-machined aluminum tip to minimize drag and provide the highest possible ballistic coefficient for extreme distance.

  • .375 AP: A hardened-core projectile designed for barrier penetration, offering superior energy retention at long ranges compared to standard match bullets.
  • .408 Tracer: Similar to the standard .408 round but includes a pyrotechnic charge in the base, allowing the shooter (or spotter) to visually track the flight path of the projectile during long-range engagements.
  • .408 AP: A heavy-hitting, armor-piercing variant designed to defeat light structures or plate steel, featuring a reinforced core for maximum energy transfer upon impact.
  • .408 Incendiary: A specialized anti-material round designed to ignite upon contact with hard surfaces, intended for neutralizing sensitive equipment or fuel sources.

Features & Printing Tips

  • 1:1 Actual Size: Each round is modeled to the precise dimensions of real-world CheyTac cartridges, capturing the unique geometry of the high-performance projectiles.
  • Modular Display: The stand features embedded M200 rifle graphics and clear, recessed text labels for easy identification and aesthetic appeal.

Material Recommendations:

  • Projectiles: Use Copper or "Silk Copper" filament for the A-Tip and AP variants to mimic jacketed bullets. Use Red/Orange for the Tracer and Incendiary tips for visual distinction.
  • Casings: “Silk Gold” or "Silk Brass" filament provides the most realistic metallic cartridge look, reflecting the high-quality brass used in CheyTac production.
  • Stand: Black PLA Basic makes the engraved text and rifle profile pop, especially if you use a "color swap" or "filament change" at the layer height for the lettering.

Note: These are non-functional, inert plastic models intended for display and educational purposes only.
