Description

WORAS - Wall Organizer with Reimagined Architectural Silhouettes

WORAS is a remix of the WORBY system that brings in architectural and urban planning elements. By turning everyday organizer parts into simple building-like shapes and spatial structures, the design plays with the idea of creating a small, abstract cityscape while still staying practical.

Twin House Modules
The original pen holder becomes two semi-detached houses with simple gabled roofs.

They keep their storage function but now clearly reference residential architecture.

Placed next to each other, they hint at repetition and density you’d find in a neighborhood,

turning a basic object into something that feels like part of a small city.

Small House with Fence Element
A smaller house is paired with an abstract fence-like piece that can hold postcards or other flat items.

It sits somewhere between functional and decorative, loosely referencing spaces like front yards or

property edges in a simplified, playful way. The 1x1 can be assembled side by side for a bigger fence.

Hook as Tree
The original hook is turned into a tree. It still works as a hanging point, but visually it adds a layer of

meaning by bringing in the idea of greenery. This helps the overall setup feel a bit more like a planned

environment rather than just a set of tools. There are three different sizes available. The treetop

is modified with the fuzzy skin.

Cork Field Frame
The cork insert is framed like an open field or small square where you can pin notes and personal items.

It acts as a flexible, shared space within the composition, reinforcing the idea of the organizer as a kind of

abstract city layout rather than just a storage system. There is a little template included to cut out the edges.

I´m using 210mm x 297mm cork boards with a self-adhesive foil. Mark the outer edge of the 3x3 insert and sketch the corners. Careful: the insert is asymmetrical!

This is a remix! All credit to Scott Yu-Jan for the idea and implementation. These modules are compatible with the WORBY Base Grid and Blanks - please use the print profiles from the original Creator.

Happy to see your prints and let me know if you have more ideas to build the city! Have fun printing!
