Description

Shopping Cart Token / Coin – Very Fast Print, No Supports, No AMS

Here's a simple and practical shopping cart token – the perfect replacement for a standard coin or plastic cart key. It prints in no time, requires no supports or AMS, and all it needs is the right shape and thickness to fit most cart locks.

This is a must‑have for anyone who:

  • often forgets to bring a coin for the shopping cart,
  • hates carrying loose change,
  • wants an emergency "cart key" always at hand,
  • is looking for a fast, cheap print for personal use or as a small gift.

Model features:

  • Standard shape and thickness – fits most popular shopping cart locks (e.g., in markets like Tesco, Walmart, Carrefour, Aldi, Lidl).
  • Very fast print – under 10–15 minutes at standard settings.
  • No supports – flat, simple geometry.
  • No AMS needed – single color (you can use any filament).
  • Small and pocket‑friendly – fits in a wallet, pocket, or phone case.

Print settings:

  • Material: PLA or PETG (PLA is faster/easier, PETG is more flexible and durable).
  • Layer height: 0.2–0.28 mm (speed over detail).
  • Infill: 100% (the token needs to be solid so it doesn't break when pushed in).
  • Supports: NOT required.
  • Bed adhesion: No brim needed.
  • Walls: 3–4 perimeters or 100% infill.
  • Print time: about 5–15 minutes (depending on your printer and settings).

How to use:

  1. Print the token (use a bright color – red, yellow, blue – so you can easily spot it in your wallet).
  2. Insert the token into the shopping cart lock – just like a regular coin.
  3. The cart unlocks.
  4. After shopping, return the cart to a corral – the token should be released (it works on the same principle as a coin).

Important: Not all carts have identical locks. If the token doesn't fit, you can slightly scale the model (increase/decrease thickness or diameter). A standard 5 zł coin (24 mm diameter, ~1.5–1.7 mm thick) is a good starting point, but you may need a tiny adjustment.

Use cases:

  • Always on hand when you forget a coin.
  • Small gift for a friend who does a lot of grocery shopping.
  • Emergency cart key in your car or shopping bag.
  • Print several and share with family members.

Why print this?

  • Lightning‑fast – just a few minutes.
  • Cheap – pennies compared to buying a token.
  • Print it in any color – easy to distinguish from real coins.
  • No more rummaging for change.
