alphabet handwriting stencil with stroke direction
Print Profile(1)

Description
Support young learners in mastering correct letter formation with this all-in-one stencil plate featuring the complete lowercase alphabet! Based on the NSW Foundation font and designed for early writers, each letter features directional arrows and stroke numbers cut into the surface to guide proper handwriting formation - all 26 letters on a single, easy-to-use board.
Thoughtfully Designed for Young Learners
In stencil letters like a, b, d, e, g, o, p, q and others, small bridge points are needed to keep the inner parts of the letter connected to the plate. In many stencils these bridges are placed arbitrarily, interrupting the natural flow of the letter mid-stroke.
In this design, the bridges are deliberately positioned at each letter's starting or ending point — so when a child begins tracing, they start at the bridge and follow the letter all the way around. The result is an uninterrupted tracing experience that teaches correct stroke formation, not just the shape of the letter.
Print Options
The arrows and stroke numbers are cut out of each letter — in a single colour they're still clearly visible and functional. For the best visual result, the colour change is already set in the slicer file at the correct layer height, so no manual configuration is needed. If you have an AMS, it will handle the filament swap automatically. No AMS? No problem — your printer will pause and prompt you to swap filament manually at the right moment. The result is a contrasting colour on the arrows and stroke numbers, making the letter outlines really pop.
Print Tips
Due to the fine details in this model, good bed adhesion is critical — poor adhesion can cause lifting or warping and ruin the small details.
- 🧼 Clean your plate thoroughly with hot water and dishwashing liquid before printing and allow to dry completely
- 🖼️ An outer brim is included in the slicer profile to prevent warping and lifting on this large, flat print. If you have adhesion issues on the insides of the letters, reslice with inner brims turned on.
- 🗼 Prime tower is disabled — this is intentional, so don't be alarmed when you don't see one in the preview
