K75 K100 BMW Piston Ring Spring Fork Insertion Aid

Anyone who has ever disassembled the fork of a BMW K75 or K100 for repair, lowering, etc., knows the annoying problem with the piston ring seal. The sealing ring is open, causing it to constantly slip off the piston before the taper in the tube is reached. For this, I took measurements and created an insertion aid. This is inserted before the taper, after which the piston ring with seal can be easily inserted.

Caution: The ring can no longer be pulled over the valve plate (disc with holes), so the sleeve must either be cut open beforehand or cut after installation to remove it from the system. Given the low printing effort and material consumption, both options should be acceptable.
