What if you're not very skilled with your hands? What if you get lost in the hardware store and have too much material, and still nothing gets finished? That was the idea behind “Project Madness” or also known as “Inari Yama Tetsudo” “The railway line to Inari's Mountain”... the goal: a completely 3D Printed model railway layout. Everything you see in the pictures is 3D printed. Except for the tracks, which, as befits a good Japanese model railway layout, are from the company Kato. Tip if you dive into this project: I built the layout

1. Printed from PETG ….Lasts much longer than PLA
2. All components are glued, welded, or screwed. For sealing, you can use a simple soldering iron. You can do it, I believe in you.
3. In the additional documents, I'm including a .step file of the complete layout. There you can see the track plan. Also, a bill of materials as a PDF.
4. Since it is a mountain railway, the gradients are sometimes a bit steeper than Kato recommends. However, most railcars or locomotives with 2 driven wheelsets can handle this without problems.

Feel free to customize the project to your wishes. With the download, it's your layout, your story, your dream.

I wish you a lot of fun :-)
