Mire Wyrm - The Eightpints

You learn to watch the water in the Mire, but that won't save you from the Wyrm. It doesn't hunt in the water; it hunts under the mud. You won't see it coming. You'll just feel the very ground you're standing on move, right before the world erupts in a churning vortex of mud, water, and a triple-jawed maw that was ancient when the mountains were still hills. You don't hunt this thing; you simply become aware that you are, and always have been, standing on its dining table.
