Description
I saw the design from @Nautilus Forge and wanted to design something liek his 10 Inch rackmount for 4 2.5 inch drives with the caddy but only with two drives and a place for my UN305C.
The design is very simple and you only need a few asembly steps to complete the part.
- After printing remove carefully the supports
Insert 4 brass heat-insert-nuts for the mounting for the fan. after that you can mount the fan by using the M3 machine screws. (10mm screws for 10mm fan or 20mm screws for 20mm fan)
assemble the sata adapters by using the BT3 screws
Needed parts:
- 4x M3 Socket head screws for mounting the fan
- 1x 40x40mm Fan → I would highly recommend a Noctua 40x40x20mm 5V fan (you can power it by plug it into a usb port)
- 4x BT3x10mm screws for the SATA adapters
- 2x Sata adapters → I have used this one SATA-Adapter
- 2x SSD Caddys Caddys
- 2x SATA to USB Adapters → when using Unraid use different adapters!!!
