Short Description

A toolbox-inspired snack box with working hinges, black latches, printed pins, and an embedded Papa’s Snackout lid design. Great for Father’s Day, snacks, candy, small parts, or desk storage.

Full MakerWorld Description

Bring a little toolbox energy to snack time.

This Pay-Pop's Snackout Tool Box is a fun, toolbox-inspired snack box featuring a separate lid, main base, working hinge points, black front latches, and printable pins. The lid features raised white lettering with a lightning-style underline for a clean shop-themed look.

It makes a great Father’s Day print, garage snack box, candy holder, gift box, desk organizer, or small parts container for the workshop.

At 150% scale, the approximate finished size is:

7.5" L x 5.5" W x 3.6" H

The lid sits on top of the base so that the finished height may vary slightly depending on fitment, material, and printer calibration.

Features

  • Toolbox-inspired snack box design
  • Separated lid and base
  • Embedded Pay-Pop's Snackout lid detail
  • Working front latches
  • Black printed latch and pin components
  • Great for snacks, candy, small gifts, or small parts
  • Fun Father’s Day or workshop gift
  • Can also be assembled with metal pins for extra strength (4.8 mm x 45 mm)

Print Plate Breakdown

Plate 1: Lid with Papa’s Snackout Logo
Includes the red lid with embedded white lettering and lightning underline detail. The logo/text pieces are separate colored objects for easier multicolor printing.

Plate 2: Latches and Pins
Includes the black latch hardware and printed pin pieces. Pins should be printed solid for best strength.

Plate 3: Main Box Body
Includes the red base of the snack box. The lid sits on top of this base after assembly.

Plate 4 (Optional): TPU Gasket
Same gasket as Plate 2, but the material is set to TPU

Recommended Print Settings

Layer height: 0.20 mm
Walls: 3 walls for lid and base
Infill: 15% gyroid for lid and base
Supports: Only where needed
Brim: Recommended for small latch and pin parts
Material: PLA for display/general use, PETG for stronger functional use, (Optional) TPU for gasket.

Assembly Notes

  1. Print the lid, base, latches, gasket, and pins. NOTE: The gasket by itself is OPTIONAL (can be printed in TPU).
  2. Test fit the pins before final assembly.
  3. Do not force tight pins into the hinge or latch holes, especially when printing in PLA (slightly scale down slightly on the X and Y axes). I have noted to reduce dowel pin sizes.
  4. Install the latches using the printed pins or compatible metal pins.
  5. Place the lid on top of the base
  6. Attach the lid to the base with dowel rods on the rear of the assembly
  7. Place the gasket into the small opening on the base

There ARE metal dowel pins out there (not tested). You're looking for something close to: 4.8mm (3/16"=4.75mm) x 45mm (1.75"=44.45mm).
