Description

Secure your cabinets, lockers, and sliding doors with this robust and sleek 90-Degree Sliding Bolt Latch from MadHaxStudio. Designed with both heavy-duty functionality and modern aesthetics in mind, this lock provides a reliable mechanism with a buttery-smooth sliding action. The front casing features the signature MadHaxStudio embossed logo, adding a premium, finished look to your functional 3D prints.

This model has been meticulously tested for precise tolerances, ensuring the bolt slides into the receiver seamlessly without friction when aligned perfectly.

 

Key Features:

  • Simple & Reliable: A straightforward locking mechanism that just works.
  • Heavy-Duty Structural Integrity: Sliced using the 0.2 mm Strength preset with 4 wall loops to ensure maximum durability. This provides a nearly solid area around the screw holes, preventing cracking when tightening the screws.
  • Clean Surface Finish: The parts are oriented face-down on the build plate to inherit the beautiful texture of your PEI bed. (Note: Because of this orientation, tree supports are generated and required for the floating screw tabs).
  • Multi-Color Friendly (No AMS Required!): Specific profiles are divided into 2 plates utilizing the "Print By Object" sequence. You can easily achieve a clean two-tone look on a single-extruder printer with zero stringing and reduced travel time.

Included Print Profiles (4 Options): I have included four ready-to-print .3mf profiles tailored to your material and color preferences:

  1. PLA+ One Color: All parts on a single plate. Highly recommended for indoor use. (Successfully tested with SUNLU PLA+ 2.0).
  2. PLA+ Multi-Color (No AMS Needed): Parts separated into 2 plates (Casings on Plate 1, Slider on Plate 2). Uses the "Print By Object" sequence for a clean, two-tone finish.
  3. PETG One Color: All parts on a single plate. Ideal for outdoor applications, garages, or high-temperature environments.
  4. PETG Multi-Color (No AMS Needed): Separated into 2 plates for a two-tone PETG build, utilizing the "Print By Object" sequence.

Hardware Required:

  • 6x Countersunk wood/self-tapping screws, size S6x1 (#6 x 1 inch).

Installation Tip: Align the main body and the receiver carefully on your door frame before marking the screw holes. Ensure the sliding bolt can move freely into the receiver lock before fully tightening the screws.
