Slavic Wooden Window Pendant
Print Profile(1)

Description
This model is inspired by traditional Slavic architecture, featuring a decorative wooden window with an ornate carved frame (nalichnik). Such window frames are a distinctive element of old Russian houses, rich in symbolism and craftsmanship. The design captures that heritage in a compact, stylized form.
The model includes a loop at the top, making it easy to use as a pendant, keychain, or decorative hanging piece. You can scale it to your needs — from a small keychain to a larger decorative element.
Printing notes:
- Designed to print easily without supports
- I printed it in PETG only because I had transparent filament available, but PLA works perfectly fine
- Layer height: 0.16–0.2 mm recommended for better detail
- Use a smaller nozzle (0.4 mm or less) if you want sharper ornamental details
- Infill: 10–20% is enough
- Slow outer wall speed improves the carved look
Materials & colors:
- Works great with both PLA and PETG
- Try dual-color or filament swap for the window vs. frame
- Looks especially good with:
- dark frame + translucent window
- wood-like PLA for a more authentic feel
- You can also paint the decorative elements to highlight the carvings
Use cases:
- Keychain
- Pendant / charm
- Decorative hanging (for home, car, or holiday ornaments)
- Gift or souvenir with a cultural touch
This model started as a personal project made from a reference image and later refined with a base and clean geometry for printing. Minimal post-processing is required.
